So, the other day, I went to the Starbucks inside Borders in Oxford. It was 30 minutes before closing, but they had already cleaned up and told me they were closed - and rude about it to boot. I asked where the store hours were listed, since I was confused, and they just pointed to the door, where it said the closing time that day was 30 minutes from then still. They didn't give any explanation. 10 minutes later, Borders even announced that Starbucks would be closing in 20 minutes! Ha.
So, I decided to e-mail Starbucks UK, and they actually responded in two days, and I got three free beverage coupons in the mail yesterday. I was really shocked actually. I've been living in Oxford for almost two years (moved here from Ann Arbor, Michigan in the states), and that's the first time that complaining has gotten me anywhere here. So this is mostly to say, if you have a bad experience at Starbucks, it's worth complaining.
